Determination of a Trend on One of Many Aging Patterns Through Cell Renewal Behaviours of Bronchus in Normal Albino Mouse Using Tritiated Thymidine and Radioautography


Abstract
One of the many profiles of the cell renewing patterns of bronchial ductural systems which are one of the derivatives from the foregut during embryonal stage, had been determined by means of use of tritiated thymidine and microradioautography through dynamic morphological behavioural observation of them. From 4-day to more than 50-week old postnatal age ranged normal albino mice were used in present experiment. A single dose of 0.8 micro-curie of tritiated thymidine was administrated intraperitoneally, and each animal was sacrificed 120 min. after a calculated amount for the mouse weight. The bronchial specimen was cut at 3-micra, was treated stripping method, was exposed in defumidified black slide box for 28-day period in room temperature, and was treated as a permanent preparation afteir the nuclear single pre-staining with hematoxylin.
1. In general, comparatively low the rates in suckling young¢¥s was contrasted with those of the adult. Regardless the embryonal origins or the sexes, the trends on figure were shown that the rates for the suckling young¢¥s were decreased with the time, while those for the adult were reversed in compare with these of the suckling¢¥s, especially, the fact were true in those of the adult females.
2. Epithelial renewings with entodermal origin were faster than those in the submucosal¢¥s with mesodermal origin.
3. Various humoral mechanisms including the sex hormones and neurogenic hormones, regardless the embryonal origins or the sex appeares to be active, and the activities happen to be more sensitive in the aging¢¥s than those of the suckling young¢¥s.
4. A reversed features in adult female¢¥s gave an implication of higher entodermal tissues versus lower mesodermally originated tissues.
5. Nevertheless the same mesodermally originated catilagenous tissue cells, they had been shown negligible labeling. The figures were more clear cut in those of the adult¢¥s than those of the suckling young¢¥s.
6. Incomplete neglects had been made in an understandable matters, because the observed rates seems to be vital adaptabilities even unsuitable endogenous or exogenous stimuli from various sources. Therefore, the range of the adaptabilities appears to be less districted in any senses.
